The Box 2011, 7 mins Where there’s a will there’s a relative. An Irish half brother shows up to spoil the party in Brasov, Transylvania This short film was shot as part of the Brasov 48 Hour film challenge. Cassidy joined actors from Bucharest, Ireland, Italy and the USA to write, film and edit the film within the 48 hour timeframe. While the short was an award-winner, it was never generally released because the its collaborative nature meant general ownership. “It was a super experience,” recalls Cassidy. “When everyone is motivated by the desire to create art rather than money it injects a whole lot of fun and passion into a project.
